Overview

Adiuvat is a booking app that lets people find and reserve affordable in-person local experiences near them, such as workshops, outings, and events. A person browses nearby venues on a map, books a spot, and pays for it with a digital token instead of cash. It is aimed at people in Colombia who want low-cost ways to spend time out alone, with family, or with friends.

The app is built by Babylon Capital, a company based in Medellín, Colombia, and runs on the Cardano blockchain1. Payments use a Cardano-based digital token called TIPS, which the project also refers to as Tokens TIPS2. Because the same token works across every participating venue, people can pay the same way whether they are at home or traveling.

Key Features

  • Map of local activities. Participating venues, called burbujas (Spanish for bubbles), appear as points on a map so people can find experiences close to them3.
  • One token across venues. Bookings are paid with the TIPS token, a Cardano-based digital coin that works the same way at every participating venue, removing the need to swap currencies when traveling2.
  • Rewards for taking part. The platform gives free reservations or extra tokens to people who take an active part in an activity, encouraging repeat outings1.
  • Tools for venue owners. Venues sign up through a waitlist, pick a category, and schedule prepaid activities; the platform also gives them regular records of their token payments to help with local tax reporting4.
  • Roles for suppliers and talent. Beyond everyday users and venues, the platform has profiles for suppliers who provide event materials and for performers who want to connect with venue spaces4.

What to Expect

Visitors to the Adiuvat website will find a Spanish-language site aimed at people in Colombia. The project is in an early, pre-launch stage, so the main thing on offer is a clickable prototype that shows how the app is meant to work, along with a waitlist for people and venues that want early access1. There is no live, fully working app to download yet.

The experience is organized around two audiences. Everyday people see a map of local venues and sample activities they could book and pay for with the TIPS token. Venue owners see an invitation to join, with details on how to list their space, schedule activities, and receive payments. The project's documents and policies are published in Spanish and hosted partly on a separate blog site.
