Overview
Alex Pestchanker is a personal YouTube channel that archives interview footage and recorded talks from Argentina's technology and blockchain scene. Almost all of it is video the channel's owner shot himself, either as an event organiser or as the host of a streaming radio show. The draw is access rather than production: guests range from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson to Argentine legislators and a university dean1.
Behind the channel is Alejandro Pestchanker, a Buenos Aires technologist who co-founded the Latam Cardano Community and the investment platform Token Allies, and who was a founding member of Intersect, the member-run organisation that helps govern Cardano2. Some of his recordings step outside Cardano and into Midnight, one of its partner chains. The older material is mostly in Spanish.
Key Features
- Two unedited Charles Hoskinson recordings. The channel holds a closing keynote and a separate long-form interview with the Cardano founder, both captured at Argentina Digital Nation, a Buenos Aires technology event1.
- A Spanish-language record of Argentina's digital-policy debate. The event interviews reach well past blockchain, taking in a national deputy, a city legislator, an innovation secretary and the dean of engineering at the University of Buenos Aires1.
- The +Web3 radio archive. Surviving episodes of the Spanish streaming programme Pestchanker hosted sit here rather than on a podcast feed, including an exclusive conversation with Charles Hoskinson3.
- Midnight developer sessions. Live streams follow a Midnight build club and an open privacy lab walkthrough, recorded as they happened rather than written up afterwards1.
- Footage published openly on purpose. The Argentina Digital Nation organisers committed to releasing the event's interviews, talks and photographs under an open licence, which is why this archive sits on a personal channel instead of behind an event website4.
What to Expect
Expect raw recordings. There is no publishing schedule, no title sequence and no editing beyond a straight capture, and clips run from a one-minute aside to a panel of nearly an hour. The channel's own description promises information about exponential technologies and products, and the subject matter does wander: one upload is a three-minute demonstration built for an enterprise observability hackathon, well outside the channel's Cardano material1.
Most of the event interviews and the radio archive are in Spanish, while the three Charles Hoskinson recordings and the developer streams are in English. YouTube's automatic captions cover both languages.
If you came for Pestchanker rather than for the videos, his work is easier to trace elsewhere. His funding record sits on his Project Catalyst proposer profile, which covers mentorship programmes, an on-chain company registry and operations for the Latam Cardano Community5. His speaker biography lists the industry and teaching roles behind that work3. He served for a period as Intersect's interim executive director before stepping down from the role6, and Midnight's Buenos Aires hackathon lists him among its judges and mentors7.
