Overview

Canadian Stake Pool Association is a group of Cardano stake pool operators based across Canada. Members agree to a set of shared security and reliability standards and review each other's setup before earning the association's badge. For delegators, that badge is an extra trust signal on top of each pool's own track record.

The association is known as CCSPA in English and ACSPC in French. It is one of several regional Cardano stake pool alliances, and it leans into geographic spread: members run pools from provinces across Canada, which helps Cardano's network rest on operators in many places.1

The site also welcomes newcomers with friendly explainers on how Cardano staking actually works, written for Canadians who are new to the ecosystem.

Key Features

  • Peer-reviewed security checks. Every member's pool setup is reviewed by other operators in a live voice meeting. Approved pools display the CCSPA badge after the majority of reviewers agree the setup is solid2.
  • Public security playbook. The association keeps a public best-practices document that covers locking down remote access, keeping signing keys offline, rotating the key that signs blocks, and how to set up the relay servers that connect a pool to the network2.
  • Public list of Canadian pools. A members page lists each operator's pool ticker, pool ID, website, and a short bio, covering pools from Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and other provinces3.
  • English and French identity. The association uses both English and French initials and reflects Canada's bilingual character in its branding and materials1.
  • Shared advice on relay setup. The best-practices document encourages members to include CCSPA relays in their setup and to connect them by fixed IP address rather than by hostname, which prevents downtime when a name lookup service goes down2.
  • Cardano basics for newcomers. A dedicated About Cardano page explains Cardano's proof-of-stake design, how delegation actually works, and how rewards are paid, aimed at Canadian readers who are just discovering staking guides.

What to Expect

The CCSPA website is a clean, WordPress-style resource hub with four main parts: the association mission and member list, the best-practices document, an introduction to Cardano, and a blog that mixes posts from members with shared content from IOG. Delegators looking for Canadian pools can browse member profiles to find each pool's ticker, pool ID, direct link to its own website, and a short operator bio. The community puts an emphasis on transparency, with members committing to a shared code of conduct around security, reliability, and how they talk to their delegators.3

CCSPA is a coordinating group, not a pool itself. Delegation happens through each member's own pool, not a single CCSPA pool, and each operator keeps their own ticker and rewards. The CCSPA badge is an extra trust signal on top of each operator's track record, not a way to pool stake under one name. The association is active on X, Telegram, and YouTube for anyone who wants to follow announcements or reach out to individual operators directly.
