Overview
Cardano2vn is a Vietnamese training group that teaches students and software developers how to build apps on Cardano. Its Aiken course, for example, starts with how Cardano records transactions, moves on to writing smart contracts (self-running programs that hold and move funds on a blockchain), and ends with wiring those contracts into working websites1. Its Aiken and Hydra courses are taught in Vietnamese, for developers who learn more easily outside English2,3.
Also known as C2VN, the group describes itself as a gathering place for Cardano enthusiasts, builders, and learners in Vietnam4. Several of its courses are funded by Project Catalyst, Cardano's community-voted grant program. They include one on Aiken, a programming language for writing Cardano smart contracts2, and one on Hydra, a Layer 2 add-on that processes transactions off the main chain for extra speed5.
Key Features
- Learn by building 12 small apps. The Building with Aiken course is split into 12 modules, and each one ends in a working app, such as a vesting contract, a token swap, a marketplace, a peer-to-peer loan, or an auction1.
- Full-stack skills, from contract to web page. Aiken course learners write the on-chain logic in Aiken, the transaction-building code with the Mesh developer toolkit, and the user interface with Next.js and React1.
- Practice finding security holes. The Aiken course trains learners to spot and fix known smart contract weaknesses, such as double satisfaction, where one payment is wrongly counted toward two obligations, and to run automated tests with the Vodka testing library1.
- Hydra from first install to finished app. The Hydra on Cardano course moves from setting up a Cardano node and a Hydra node, the programs Hydra needs, to running a first Hydra Head, a group that processes transactions off the main chain, then connecting an Aiken contract and a front end, with its materials listing 16 video lessons3.
- Cardano developer docs in Vietnamese. A separate Cardano2vn docs portal covers smart contracts, native tokens, running a stake pool, and a written Vietnamese version of Dr. Lars Brünjes's lecture series on Plutus, a language for writing Cardano smart contracts6.
What to Expect
For developers, the main draw is the course code. It sits in public GitHub repositories, and the Aiken course repository gives each of its 12 modules its own folder. That repository carries an MIT license, which makes it open-source, and it includes an English-language README alongside the Vietnamese one1. The Hydra course materials describe Vietnamese lessons with English subtitles3.
Students and universities are a second audience. Cardano2vn has run Catalyst-funded work training IT lecturers at Vietnamese universities to teach blockchain7. The team page lists developers, stake pool operators, and Cardano Ambassadors (community volunteers recognized by the Cardano Foundation), several of whom have led their own Catalyst-funded projects4.
Casual visitors should expect a site written mostly in Vietnamese, with a blog, a docs section, and links to the group's Telegram chat and GitHub. Lesson videos also appear on the group's Blockchain Cardano Việt Nam YouTube channel. English speakers can still read the code and the English README, but the spoken lessons and most written guides on Cardano2vn assume Vietnamese.
