Overview
ChatterPay is a crypto wallet that lives inside WhatsApp, so paying someone works much like messaging them. You start a chat with the ChatterPay bot and it creates a wallet for you inside that conversation, with no app to install and no browser extension to add1. Moving money is then a matter of sending the bot an ordinary sentence, by text message or by voice2.
The wallet's private key is stored on Scroll, a network built on top of Ethereum to make transactions cheaper, using account abstraction, an approach that lets software manage the key on the owner's behalf1. ChatterPay says the same chat can send ADA along with USDCx, a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by USDC held in reserve by Circle, to any WhatsApp contact2. The wallet comes from P4 Games, a business incubator in Argentina, and its business material points at cross-border payments in Latin America as the main use case3.

What to Expect
Once the wallet exists it handles sending a transfer, swapping one token for another, withdrawing to an outside wallet address, and turning a photo into an NFT certificate6. Sending to a network other than the one holding your funds is treated as a cross-network transfer, so it costs a percentage of the amount plus a fee from the routing provider, the service that moves funds between the two networks, while a send that stays on one network costs a flat amount4.
The code is open. ChatterPay publishes its wallet interface and dashboard under the P4 Games organization on GitHub7, and its smart contracts, the self-running programs that move funds on a blockchain, are written in Solidity and built for Scroll8.
Alongside the consumer wallet, ChatterPay is building the same technology into an offering for businesses that want payments running inside their own customer conversations, which it lists as in development9. That offering is described as bundling a connection layer for developers, an assistant that answers in chat, and customer-management tools, with the partner company running its own identity checks on users3.
ChatterPay itself came out of a hackathon. The team built it at Ethereum Argentina's Level Up event and took first prize in the Keystore track, and the three co-founders are named on the project's about page10.
