Overview

European Cardano Community is a channel of founder interviews, pitch events and community meetings recorded by a community group in Europe. Anyone curious about who is building in the ecosystem can watch project founders explain their work in their own words, at length. The channel belongs to the European Cardano Community, a community group that grew out of a Discord server started in July 2022 to connect Cardano builders and stake pool operators, the people who run the servers that keep the network going, across Europe¹. What to Expect

The production values are those of a community group. Sessions are recorded from video calls, so audio quality varies by speaker, conversations run long, and nothing is scripted. That is also the appeal: founders of small projects talk about funding, regulation and the practical grind of building, in a register they rarely use on stage.

The audience is small, and the European Cardano Community says so itself, noting in its own reporting that engagement on YouTube stayed below what it hoped for⁵. The value here is in the material. By the group's own Fund 11 closeout report, the funded programme ran 55 public sessions and featured more than 100 unique Cardano projects and founders, with regional series in German, Italian, French, Greek and English⁵.

The Fund 10 proposal to Project Catalyst was approved and completed⁶, and so was the Fund 11 proposal⁷. Both funded projects published a closeout report⁸⁵. The Fund 12⁹, Fund 13¹⁰ and Fund 14 proposals were not approved, and the Fund 14 proposal states that the programme ends without further funding¹¹. New uploads have slowed as a result.
