Overview
Komunitas Cardano Indonesia is a volunteer-run YouTube channel that lets Indonesian speakers watch full recordings of local blockchain meetups, workshops and university courses in their own language. Most videos are unedited captures of real events rather than short explainers. The channel is the community's 2021 to 2025 archive of those recordings.
The community describes itself as people from different backgrounds with a shared interest in Cardano, working to introduce, discuss and build on it for Indonesians1. Cardano is a public blockchain, and this group handles the on-the-ground part: meetups in Jakarta and Surabaya, developer workshops, and coursework taught with Indonesian universities2. Its own motto, "tempat dimana kita belajar," translates as "the place where we learn"2.
Key Features
- Full sessions, not highlight clips. A meetup is posted end to end, so someone who missed the room still gets the whole discussion instead of a trimmed summary3.
- An archive sorted by year and event series. Playlists group the meetups by year and keep the workshop series separate, which makes a particular session easy to track down1.
- University coursework taught in Indonesian. The community's developer program with Gadjah Mada University translated an open Cardano coding course into Indonesian and taught it to engineering and computer science students4.
- Short wallet and app walkthroughs. Brief tutorials sit alongside the long recordings, aimed at someone setting up a Cardano wallet or opening an app for the first time1.
- A public funding record behind the events. The Surabaya hub and the Jakarta workshops were paid for through Project Catalyst, the grant fund Cardano holders vote on, so the plan and the money are both on the record5.
What to Expect
Sessions are spoken in Bahasa Indonesia, with English turning up mainly in the grant paperwork. Video titles mix the two. Someone who does not read Indonesian can still follow the screen shares in the tutorials, and YouTube's automatic captions cover the spoken parts roughly.
Production is plain: unedited, full-length recordings of events the community ran. Runtimes swing from under a minute for an event teaser to close to four hours for a full university session1. The result is a record of what happened rather than a polished course, with the pacing of a live room, questions and pauses included.
The channel is one surface of a wider community. Two Meetup groups carry the in-person side: Cardano Blockchain Jakarta, part of a larger network of Cardano meetup groups run with EMURGO and the Cardano Foundation6, and a smaller one in Surabaya7. The community's own link hub8 lists an Indonesian-language Telegram group and the Bahasa Indonesia section of the official Cardano forum9.
Komunitas Cardano Indonesia last uploaded Meetup #10, held 23 August 2025; nothing has been published on this channel since. The archive is strongest on the ecosystem meetups and the multi-part university workshops; there is no weekly show to subscribe to. The forum category is the livelier place to see what the community is doing now.
