Overview
No Witness Labs is a software engineering studio that builds blockchain applications and developer tools for other teams. Companies hire it to write the code behind a product, to build the libraries their own developers will work with, or to review contract code before it goes live. Much of what it builds gets published openly.
Most of that work lands on Cardano, where the studio builds the software other developers depend on: a toolkit for writing Cardano applications in TypeScript, tooling for Hydra (a layer-two system that processes Cardano transactions off the main chain among a set of parties, with only the final outcome recorded on the main chain), and indexing software that feeds Cardano data into the analytics tools multi-chain teams already run. On Midnight, a chain built around keeping transaction data private, it maintains Midday SDK, a package of ready-made building blocks for Midnight applications. Founders Jonathan Rodriguez and Mladen Lamesevic run the firm as an engineering partner1.

- Cardano apps written in ordinary TypeScript. Evolution SDK, created by No Witness Labs, picks which coins to spend and works out the fee and the change on the developer's behalf, so a transaction gets described rather than hand-assembled2.

- A way to test Hydra before real money touches it. Hydra Manager drives and stress-tests Hydra heads, the shared channels where a fixed group of participants settle layer-two transactions between themselves4.
- Building blocks for private applications. Midday SDK gives Midnight developers one TypeScript package for creating a wallet client, deploying a contract with the settings that keep its data private, and reading back the public parts of the ledger5.
What to Expect
The website is a single page with a short service list and a contact form, not a product you sign up for. Engagement starts there: you pick the service you need, a rough budget band and the chain you are working on, then leave your details6.
Developers get more out of the studio's public code than out of the site. The GitHub organization holds the Cardano and Midnight libraries, shell tooling for running a Hydra node next to a Cardano node7, indexing software written in Go, and course material on machine-checked proofs. Some repositories are finished and documented; others are early scaffolding, so read a project before depending on it.
Intersect, a member-based organization for the Cardano ecosystem, accepted Evolution SDK as the first project in its incubation program, and the code sits under Intersect's own GitHub organization with No Witness Labs still maintaining it8. Input Output names the studio as one of six delivery partners on Cardano High Assurance, a program that applies mathematical proof techniques to contract code so whole classes of bugs can be ruled out rather than tested for9. Past client reviews sit in a public portfolio, which states plainly that a report covers a bounded piece of work and is not a certificate of safety10.
