PBG

Overview

PBG is a Cardano-based product that lets you hold a single token tied to a managed basket of crypto assets. You buy in with ADA, and the automated rulebook issues a PBG token whose value tracks the underlying portfolio. You exit by burning the token to get ADA back at the live portfolio price. The team describes this structure as a Decentralized Vault Portfolio, or DVP¹.

PBG is built by Piso Trece on Cardano, with all holdings, fees, and movements settled through automated rulebooks that anyone can inspect on the blockchain². The contracts are written using Helios, a rulebook language created by PBG's CTO, and the project leans on Cardano's eUTxO accounting model (an approach where each transaction's inputs and outputs are explicit, making outcomes easier to verify) for predictable, auditable settlement.

Key Features

• One token, diversified exposure. Holding the PBG token gives you a position in a curated basket of digital assets without picking and managing them yourself. The basket is rebalanced according to on-chain rules².
• Mint and redeem in ADA, anytime. You enter and exit by sending ADA to the automated rulebook, which mints or burns PBG tokens at the portfolio price. There are no redemption windows or lock-ups¹.
• Independent audit by Anastasia Labs. Anastasia Labs reviewed the version 1.0 DVP contract suite and published a report identifying and tracking findings before the live launch³.
• Fees written into the contract. A small daily management fee plus mint-and-burn fees are deducted automatically by the rulebook, so the cost structure is visible up front rather than hidden in a fund prospectus¹.
• Self-custody, not a fund account. Holders keep their assets in their own Cardano wallet and interact with the contract directly. PBG never takes custody of customer funds².

What to Expect

For everyday users, PBG looks like a single-button entry into a managed crypto portfolio. You connect a Cardano wallet, send ADA, and receive PBG tokens that move in value with the underlying basket. When you want out, you burn the tokens and the contract sends ADA back. The team's app at token.pbg.io is the main interface, and the site is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

For asset managers, PBG positions itself as infrastructure. The same DVP framework is meant to let third-party teams launch and manage their own tokenized portfolios under one shared standard, with creator tooling listed as forthcoming on the project roadmap.
