Overview
NuFi is a free wallet for holding Cardano (ADA), Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Flow, and several other blockchains under a single recovery phrase. It works as a browser add-on or as a regular website at wallet.nu.fi, so you can choose between installing nothing or having the wallet always ready in your toolbar1. You hold the recovery phrase, which means only you can move the funds.
NuFi is built by the Swiss company NUFI AG, a team that's been making Cardano wallets since 2018. They previously built AdaLite, one of the very first Cardano browser wallets2. The wallet sits in the browser wallet category and is aimed at people who hold coins on more than one blockchain and don't want to juggle a different app for each one.

- A safety net for risky transactions. A built-in scam shield (powered by a service called Blockaid) flags suspicious apps and known scam addresses before you approve a transaction3.
- A version that works inside MetaMask. If you already use MetaMask for Ethereum, NuFi has an add-on that lets you manage your ADA from inside MetaMask, using the same recovery phrase4.
What to Expect
Setting up NuFi takes a few minutes. New users can either go the standard route (create a wallet, write down a recovery phrase) or use a quicker option called NuFi Connect, which lets you set up a wallet through a Google, Facebook, Discord, or X account without immediately handling a phrase2. (You can still recover and back up the wallet with a phrase later.) Existing crypto holders can import their accounts and see balances across every supported chain in one dashboard.
Day-to-day, the wallet shows your total holdings in one screen, with each chain expandable for sending, receiving, and chain-specific actions like staking. NFTs from different chains appear together in a single gallery, so a Cardano NFT can sit next to a Solana or Ethereum one. The trading tool covers the most common needs without sending you to a separate exchange.
For Cardano users specifically, NuFi covers all the basics: staking, DEX swaps, signing into Cardano apps. It also adds the MetaMask integration as a bonus if you also use Ethereum.
