Overview

Charli3 Staking was a reward program that let ADA holders delegate their coins to a stake pool and earn payouts in the project's own token, C3. It was aimed at long-term Cardano holders who wanted to put idle ADA to work while keeping full control of their coins. The program stood out because rewards came in C3 rather than ADA, and it paid extra to people who helped supply liquidity for that token on Cardano exchanges.

Charli3 is an oracle project on Cardano, meaning it feeds real-world data such as asset prices into on-chain applications. The staking program was one way it distributed C3, the token that powers its data-feed network. Delegation itself worked the standard Cardano way: coins stayed in the holder's own wallet the whole time and could be moved freely.

Key Features

  • Non-custodial ADA delegation. Participants pointed their wallet at Charli3's stake pool without ever handing over their coins, so the ADA principal stayed under their own control throughout1.
  • Rewards paid in the C3 token. Instead of the usual ADA staking return, delegators earned C3, Charli3's native Cardano token, which is also used to run the project's oracle data feeds1.
  • Liquidity provision bonus. Holders who supplied a C3-and-ADA pair to exchanges such as Minswap, WingRiders, SundaeSwap, and VyFinance earned additional C3, with a bonus that grew the longer they left funds in place1.
  • On-chain and verifiable. The stake pool, its delegators, and its history are all recorded on the Cardano blockchain and can be inspected through public pool explorers2.

What to Expect

Anyone visiting the Stake and Earn page today should know the program has wound down. Charli3's stake pool, which carried the ticker C3L1, has been retired, and the team has said the pool no longer holds delegated stake3. The on-chain record confirms this: public explorers show the pool as retired with no active stake behind it2. As a result, the delegation and liquidity rewards described here can no longer be joined.

People who took part before the wind-down can still collect C3 rewards they had already earned, following the claim process the team has laid out3. Charli3's core business, supplying data feeds to Cardano applications, continues to operate independently of the staking program; only the reward scheme has ended. For readers looking to stake ADA more generally, Adastack lists other options in its staking category, and the basics are covered in how to stake ADA on Cardano.
